There will be lots of cooking classes in Tulsa, OK this month. If you have ever wanted to learn how to cook many new recipes from Italian, to Mexican, to Sushi, to Asian, and more, now is the time. There will be many tasty tips and tricks that will help you cook better than ever for your family and friends.
Here is some of the cooking classes you can find this month:
August 7th – Vietnam style cooking with Beef Sate, Chicken Sate, and Shrimp Pho Soup at NeMar Noulles starting at 7pm. Class is $65 per person.
August 7th – Culinary smoke grilling with 3 Guys Smokin’ will teach you how to cook and fix Smoked Salmon, Ol’ Red Eye Hand Rolled Sausage, Smoked Corn ala Big Guy and Kippered Salmon. Come to the Stock Pot from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Class is $45 per person.
August 12 – Learn to cook fresh vegetable the right way. Class is at Akin’s at 11:30 and 7pm for just $15.
August 13th – Sushi is all the rave. Learn how to make sushi like a pro. You will learn how to create sushi rolls, nigiri, tofu and miso soup. Class is at the Urban Kitchen from 6pm to 8pm for $60 per person.
August 15th – If party bites and appetizers is what you like, you can learn to how to make some of the best smoked trout spread on brioche with fig jam, or asparagus with wasabi mayo dip, or southwest corn cakes plus more. Come to the NeMar Noulles at 7pm for $65 per person.
August 15th – Italian can be very romantic when you know how to prepare it right. Chef Bill Harris will show you how to prepare food in an adventurous way. It’s the perfect way to learn how to cook Italian food at the Urban Kitchen from 6pm to 8pm for $60 per person.
August 15th – Learn to make modern Cajun food with chef Darrell Hicks at the Stock Pot from 6:30pm to 8:30pm for $45 per person.
August 20th – Go on a field trip from Nam Hai Asian Market to the Urban Kitchen with a group who has your same cooking passion. Learn about exotic produce and other indigenous foods in Asian cultures. Once back at the Urban Kitchen, you will prepare what you gathered. Class is from noon to 3pm for $100 per person.
August 21st – Learn to make the best summer salads with crunchy veggies and delicious salad dressings. Class will be held at NeMar Noulles at 7pm for $65.
August 21st – Join executive chef Gran Vespasian with the Tavern on Brady as he teaches you to prepare an Italian feast. Class is at the Stock Pot from 6a:30pm to 8:30pm for $45 per person.
There will be even more classes around town toward the end of the month. So, keep your eyes and ears open. And, don’t forget to save your appetites for Tulsa’s Restaurant Week from September 7th through September 15th. It’s a great way to try many of the local restaurants and it benefits the food bank program for kids.
