Vote in Tulsa’s Shelter Me Animal Welfare Video Contest
You can now vote for your favorite animal video in the Tulsa’s Shelter Me Animal Welfare video contest. The “Shelter Me” contest was created to bring out the creativity of Tulsa residents by letting them show how they have helped shelter pets across the country. So, if you love pets and you have had a hand in helping shelter pets, go vote on your favorite video. The videos are about pet adoption, pet fostering, spay/neutering, volunteering and donating.
The winner of the “Shelter Me” video contest will be awarded a cash prize from Tulsa Animal Welfare. Participants were asked to make short videos about shelter pets. The winner will not only get a cash prize, but their video will be shown on national television. The winner of the cash prize will have to split the money between themselves and an animal shelter. However, the good news is the winner can donate to the animal shelter of their choice.
Contestants have three chances to win a prize. The first place winner will win $5,000, second place will win $3,000 and third place will win $2,000. Winners will be chosen by the number of video views, how many shares, and their ratings. Voting ends on December 20, 2013. At the end of the contest, the 10 most popular videos will be judged by the “Shelter Me” judging panel. Three videos that they think will be most effective to raise awareness about shelter animals will be selected.
