Broken Arrow’s Economy
Although it was once considered a bedroom community, Broken Arrow now provides thousands of employment opportunities. Broken Arrow real estate has more business and industry than any city in the state, except Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The community continues to grow thanks to the city’s wise focus on business development. Currently, there are 200 manufacturing plants in Broken Arrow, making it the third largest manufacturing city in Oklahoma. Broken Arrow schools are served by two school districts: Broken Arrow Public Schools and Union Public Schools. Broken Arrow Public Schools serves most of the city. It also received the 2006 “What Parent Want Award” from SchoolMatch. The western portion of Broken Arrow real estate is served by Union Public Schools. Both districts rank within the top five districts in Oklahoma. There are 17 elementary, six middle schools and four high schools in Broken Arrow’s public school system. Youth sports tournaments are played at Broken Arrow’s Indian Spring Sports Complex and draw crowds from miles around. Soccer and baseball are played at the Arrowhead Park Softball Complex and football is played at Nienhis Park Football Fields.
