However, Realtor.com narrowed down the list of the top five features for each state and then selected the one that seemed most important to homebuyers.
The Realtor.com top home features for Oklahoma and other cities around the nation found interesting things through their analysis. Their study shows that wet bars are very popular in Kansas, which is ironic since they have one of the strictest alcohol laws in the country. Many active listings in Kansas currently list a wet bar. Idaho residents want RV parking when they buy a home. Many homes for sale in Idaho promote that they have one.
Michigan people love their pole barns. They are popular because of their structural support; therefore, many homes on the market there list that they have a pole barn on the property. Oregon homeowners show off their fondness for hot tubs. So, they tout them in their listings too. North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, and Minnesota each love large front porches. Therefore, they highlight them in their listings. Alaska, Vermont, New Mexico and Delaware all want fireplaces, so you will find them in their listings in these states.
Oklahoma is well known for have many tornadoes like Kansas, and people want to feel safe. Therefore, storm shelters are all the rage and very important. Many homes have them and you will find them in their listings.
