Tulsa Tools for Schools 2017
How can I be a part of the Tulsa Tools for Schools 2017 program? It’s simple. Just pick up school supplies at your local Target, Wal-Mart, Staples, K-Mart or Office Max store. Then, drop them off at your local Tulsa fire station. They need pencils, crayons, colored pencils, dry erase boards, copy paper and spiral notebooks (single subject, regular ruled). After the August 11th deadline, our amazing firefighters bring them to a designated facility. Then, Tulsa Council of PTAs volunteers sort through all donations received. Finally, local schools receive these supplies before school starts up on August 21st.
Our teachers are already some of the lowest paid in the United States. When you participate in the Tulsa Tools or Schools 2017 program, you stop teachers from having to dip further into their pockets to make up for budget shortfalls in the classroom. Don’t know where to find a fire station near you? Click on the Tulsa Area Fire Station Google Map here. Your assistance in providing these much needed supplies goes a long way in enhancing our children’s education. Take this opportunity to be a hero for some of our everyday heroes…our teachers.
