Tulsa Brownies Root Beer Fun Run 2018
Our local favorite hamburger joint Brownies hosts the Tulsa Brownies Root Beer Fun Run 2018 this Sunday. The event is divided up into two separate “races: the fun run and the 5K. The shorter fun run allows all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate. For a little more challenge, you may want to sign up for the 5K. Tatur racing provides professional chipping for the USATF-certified 5K. Everyone starts out on the west field of Cascia Hall Preparatory School. The course winds its way throughout the gorgeous Utica Square area, ending back at Cascia Hall. Afterward, visit the Brownies food truck to fill your belly with tasty burgers and root beer. Several kids activities and music greet all who finish their course.
Registering for the Fun Run and 5K
Fun runners pay $20 to race while 5K participants pay $45. All proceeds raised help fund our local schools’ educational programs. The first 300 people to cross the finish line of the 5K receive a medal. All participants can register on the day of the event beginning at 11:30 am.
Preparing for the Tulsa Brownies Root Beer Fun Run 2018
Currently, the weatherman predicts cloudy skies on Sunday, with a high of 60F. So, wear layers. As the day (and your body) warms up, you’ll want to shed some of that extra clothing. After you’re done with your fun run or 5K, you may want to put your sweatshirt or hoodie back on. Just make sure you’re comfortable. Bring water to stay hydrated throughout.
