Sand Springs is a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma, nestled in the hills along the Arkansas River and located mostly in Tulsa County, with some areas of the city located in Osage County to the north. Sand Springs schools are served by Sand Springs Public Schools. There are seven elementary schools, one middle school, one 9th grade center and two high schools operating in Sand Springs real estate.

The Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum is a vibrant, community-oriented organization dedicated to its mission to acquire, preserve, interpret materials and exhibit information that is linked with the culture and history of the Sand Springs community along with the rich culture of Sand Springs’ surrounding areas.
Located in the 1929 Page Memorial Building in the heart of historic downtown Sand Springs, the museum provides tours, workshops, educational programs, traveling exhibits, history exhibits, a genealogy library and art galleries.
Sand Springs is host to many festivals, parades and events. These are held every holiday and season and offer excitement for the whole family.
There are ball fields and ball courts with multiple fields for play, complexes, parks and community centers. There is also one 18-acre lake for some of the best fishing around, a municipal golf course with a rolling terrain and a rodeo arena. Adult and adolescent sports programs are offered through the City Parks and Recreation Departments and the Salvation Army.
The National Home of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” is the world famous Discoveryland!, located in a beautiful rustic wooden section of the community. Discoveryland! features the award-winning outdoor production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” Twice named the “Outstanding Tourist Attraction in Oklahoma,” Discoveryland’s “Oklahoma!” is performed under the stars in an outstanding 2,000 seat outdoor complex.
The show runs mid-June through late August and is complete with horse, wagons and authentic scenery.
